On Saturday, October 17th, players, coaches and parents of the Zionsville Hockey Club volunteered to help with the distribution of coats, hats, gloves and scarves to families.

On Saturday, October 3rd, ZHC seniors Bradley Gordon, Jack Shortridge, Tom O’Brien, Sam Heffernan and Max Barnett gathered all of the donated coats and other winter items and delivered them to Classic Cleaners. Well done boys!!!!

Last year, over 3,100 Central Indiana children came to the Indiana State Fairgrounds with their parents to pick out the perfect coat, hat, and gloves to keep them warm through an unpredictable Indiana winter. For the kids, this is a fun day when they can hunt for a coat they can wear to school with pride and confidence. From the tiniest of newborns to high school seniors, these children all need quality winter gear to help them stay healthy and warm. Since the most-needed sizes vary from year to year, it can take an inventory of over 4,000 coats to ensure that every child will find a coat to take home.
The players of the Zionsville Hockey Club (ZHC) will partner with The Salvation Army Indiana Division to help collect winter coats, scarves, hats and gloves for children across Central Indiana.
ZHC will have collection boxes at CARMEL ICE SKADIUM and ARTIC ZONE available for drop off from September 1 – 27, 2020. On Saturday, October 17th, the players of the ZHC will help distribute items to Central Indiana families during the Salvation Army Coats For Kids at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in the Elements Financial Blue Ribbon Pavilion at 1202 East 38th Street in Indianapolis, Indiana.
